  1. Never defrost grass-fed beef in a microwave. The meat should be thawed out in the refrigerator and then set out until the meat gets close to room temperature prior to cooking.

  2. Always preheat your grill, oven or pan prior to cooking.

  3. Because grass-fed beef is lower in fat than grain-fed beef, it cooks approximately 30% faster. Use a meat thermometer.

  4. Never pierce the meat with a fork or a meat hook. Use tongs to turn your meat.

  5. Because of the lower fat content, the meat should be coated in a healthy high smoke point oil like avocado or olive oil.
